This policy explains what information Roots & Return ("we," "us") collects through rootsnreturn.com (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have. We are based in Franklin, Tennessee, USA.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Webinar registration: name, email, and optionally phone, city and state, whether you have property in India, your question for the presenter, how you heard about us, whether you'd like a follow-up call (and the best time to reach you), and whether you'd like updates.
Booking a free Roots Review: the details you enter in our scheduling tool (Calendly), such as name, email, phone and preferred time.
Client portal and property questionnaire: your account email and password, plus the answers you choose to give about your property, ownership, timeline and plans. This can include property location and estimated value. You may also upload documents.
Partner directory applications: professional name, firm, contact details, location, credentials, specialties and any client reviews you submit.
Emails and calls: whatever you choose to tell us.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time. We do not run advertising trackers or sell advertising on the Site.

How we use it

to run events, respond to you and schedule conversations, including the follow-up call if you asked for one;
to understand your situation and coordinate the professionals working on your case, with your agreement;
to review and publish partner directory listings;
to send updates or invitations, only if you opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
to keep the Site secure and working, and to meet legal obligations.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

with service providers who run the Site for us: Hostinger (web hosting), Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Calendly (scheduling), and map and font providers used to display pages;
with professionals you ask us to coordinate, such as a CA or CPA, and only what they need for your case;
when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

How long we keep it

We keep event registrations for up to 24 months, and case and portal information for as long as your account is open and as records rules require afterward. You can ask us to delete your information sooner. We'll do so unless we're required to keep it.

Security

Portal data is protected by sign-in and database access rules, so each client can see only their own information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please don't email account numbers or government ID numbers. Use the portal's upload feature instead.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from updates using the link in any email, or by writing to us.
Access, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@rootsnreturn.com.
Residents of some U.S. states may have additional rights under state law. Contact us and we'll honor them as applicable.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
